Based in Norwich, my client are a group of internationally recognised research organisations, working to tackle major challenges of the 21st Century: environmental sustainability, food supplies and healthy aging. My client provide non-scientific services to the four Institutes that make up the group and provide support covering a range of technical disciplines, IT infrastructure and core computing being a key one.

They are currently looking for a Business Analyst to work in the Business Systems Transformation programmes. You will work alongside other team members and report directly to the Business Systems Transformation Manager. Your main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, working closely with stakeholders and users, and third party suppliers, and performing some user acceptance testing. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users. Key relationships will include the following senior stakeholders; Head of Research and Core Computing, Deputy Head of Core Computing, Core Computing Team Lead, Heads of HR and Finance and their respective Institute Management Teams

The main activities will include;

+ Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements along with documenting test scripts and performing user acceptance testing.
+ Performing requirements analysis.
+ Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
+ Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimisation strategies.
Staying up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernise systems.
+ Conducting meetings, workshops, and presentations to share ideas and findings.
+ Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
+ Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.

Key skills and knoweldge;

+ Degree in relevant subject plus certifications as a business analyst
+ Extensive work dealing with 3rd party suppliers
+ Experience of working on complex business and system transformation projects
+ Process mapping, gap analysis, requirement gathering and documenting results
+ Systems analysis and implementation
+ change management experience
+ work closely with stakeholders
+ strong understanding of hr, finance and other business systems

The position is initially as a 12 month FTC based from offices in Norwich. Salaries range from £35 to £45k dependent on experience.
