Immunology Research Scientist: Cambridge

My client is a pioneering BioTech company involved in the exploration of microbiomes for treatments in illnesses such as IBD and Immuno-Oncology. With clinical trials planned in the near future this is a very exciting time in this area of BioTech.

As a result of expansion plans, an Immunology Research Scientist is sought. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in the new field of microbiome-immunology research and contribute to the development of a new class of medicines.

What does the Role entail?

* Contributing to the preclinical development of novel medicines - delivered orally to the intestinal tract – by setting up and performing immune-based cellular and flow cytometry assays
* Setting up and running immune cellular assays
* Accountability for data integrity
* Cross-collaboration with colleagues in different teams
* Supporting project teams through the presentation of Cell Biology Team data

Experience Sought;

* PhD in a relevant discipline or MSc with solid experience in immunology or a related discipline
* Hands-on experience in cell culture, multi-colour flow cytometry and immune cell profiling
* Ability to multi-task and effectively manage time and workloads
* Effective communication skills

Bonus Areas;

* Experience in setting up and optimising cellular assays
* Hands-on experience working with animal models.
