As a result of continued growth, my client based in Cheshire, are actively seeking an Oracle DBA.

Role Overview;

* Managing and administering all of the databases including the Windows and Linux platforms they are running on
* Monitor database systems to ensure environments are stable and available
* Perform maintenance operations on Oracle databases to ensure efficient database operations
* Backups, migrations, and restorations of Oracle databases, including Oracle APEX applications
* Develop, manage and test database and IS backups and recovery plans, ensuring written processes are in place
* Promote / maintain data security and compliance for Oracle databases to meet compliance
* Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies that support data applications


Skills / Experience Sought;

* Logical thinker with a strong ability to problem solve
* Ability to operate effectively / systematically under pressure in recovery and failover scenarios
* Oracle 12c or above database experience
* Oracle WebLogic maintenance and implementation
* Oracle enterprise manager maintenance and implementation
* Knowledge of computer networks / protocols, including Windows & Linux operating systems and shell scripting
* Performance tuning & optimization skills
* RMAN Backup and Recovery
