Research Scientist (Immunology): Aberdeen
A leading pharmaceutical company is looking for a Research Scientist to join a growing team. The client are world leaders in Live Biotherapeutic Products (LBPs) and are innovators which are making a real difference in the treatments of illnesses and diseases such as IBD, Oncology and Asthma. There is also a strong pre-clinical pipeline of programmes in the areas of autoimmunity, CNS and inflammation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the team and can expect to join a friendly, enthusiastic and collaborative environment.
Working as part of a friendly and enthusiastic team of fellow scientists, you#39&ll be working in a key research capacity and using your expertise in assay development for drug discovery. The role is mainly focused on defining suitable properties of LBPs in novel disease areas, using in vitro and ex vivo readouts - integrating cellular, molecular and immune endpoints so as to study the modulation of the host immune systems and support translational development of LBPs.
Experience / Knowledge Sought;
* PhD in Immunology (or similar) and ideally some industrial or Post-Doc experience
* Strong lab-based experience in immunological techniques, proficiency in flow cytometry (multi-colour), cell culture, immunophenotyping; and experience in translating these skills into reliable data.
* Experienced with in vivo work / immunological in vivo work
* Experience in planning, designing, executing and analysing pre-clinical in vitro and ex vivo studies in the Immunological field.
