As a result of continued ambition, expansion and demand, my client - a global environment chemistry company - is actively seeking a Senior GC (Gas Chromatography) Chemist This role promises to be interesting, engaging and high in job satisfaction.

The position is based out of state-of-the-art Laboratory facilities in Manchester near Media City.

Working as part of a team, you#39&ll be engaged in the following activities:-

* Meet sample turnaround time requirements
* Analyse samples using GC-FID & GC-MS in line with laboratory procedures
* Process and interpret analytical results for entry into the LIMS
* Prepare samples in line with laboratory procedures
* Ensure quality records are maintained in line with laboratory requirements including investigation of AQC failures
* Trouble shoot instrument issues and call-in external engineers when required to minimise equipment downtime

Experience / Knowledge sought;

* Excellent working knowledge of Gas Chromatography systems
* Experience in conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting of Gas Chromatography systems
* Experience of working within an accredited analytical testing laboratory
* Ability to meet deadlines
