As a result of continued ambition, expansion and demand, my client based in Reading are looking to expand. A requirement is open for a Product Owner to join this leading supplier of Education and Training Technology.

Founded over 10 years ago, they are a leading supplier of education and training technology, with a particular focus on the procurement and supply chain sectors. Their online practical-based education platforms add huge value to companies and individuals all over the world. They do this through creating unique, high-impact and personalized learning journeys created to improve core skills needed in supply chain and procurement roles – efficiency, resourcefulness, and overall performance.

About the role in a nutshell;

You#39&ll be an experienced Product Owner and will be joining a cross-functional team. You#39&ll take a lead role in the development and enhancement of a leading SaaS Training Platform.

Key responsibilities;

* Product Vision and Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers,
educators, trainers, and internal teams, to define and communicate the product vision,
strategy, and roadmap for the SaaS Learning Management System

* Requirements Gathering and Prioritisation: Collect and analyze user feedback, market
trends, and competitive insights to identify and prioritize feature enhancements,
ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs

* Feature Definition: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development,
design, and QA, to define clear and detailed user stories, use cases, and acceptance
criteria that guide the development process

* Agile Leadership: Serve as the Product Owner in an Agile development environment,
participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups to ensure
successful execution of the product roadmap

* User-Centered Design: Advocate for user-centric design principles, incorporating
usability studies, user personas, and iterative design processes to create intuitive and
effective user experiences

* Release Management: Plan and oversee the release process, coordinating with
development and QA teams to ensure timely and high-quality software releases that
meet customer expectations

* Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct ongoing analysis of the training and learning
management market, staying informed about industry trends, emerging technologies,
and competitive landscape

* Customer Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers,
seeking their input and feedback to drive continuous product improvement and
customer satisfaction

Skills / Experience Sought;

* Proven experience as a Product Owner, or similar role, ideally in the development of
training or learning management systems and/or SaaS solutions

* Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles, with experience working
in Agile development teams

* Demonstrated success in defining and delivering successful software products;
preferably SaaS solutions

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate
effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

* Analytical mindset, with the ability to gather and interpret data to make informed
product decisions

* Experience with user-centered design principles and practices, including usability
testing and design thinking

* Knowledge of the education and training industry, including familiarity with e-learning,
online courses, and instructional design

* Proficiency in project management tools, such as Jira or similar software

** Certification in PSPO (Professional Scrum Product Owner) is a bonus

The package;

You#39&ll receive a highly competitive starting salary (circa £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience) and will benefit from regular opportunities for career progression. In addition, you#39&ll have the opportunity to explore new technologies and become trained in them.
