• Remote friendly – the base is in West Yorkshire but the role can work as mostly remote
• Competitive Salary - £25k - £50k (covering junior – senior level)

As a result of continued ambition, expansion and demand, my client is looking for 2 PHP Developers.

One of the leading e-commerce retailers in the UK. With a healthy, forward-thinking attitude toward technology, they are constantly trying to improve their IT systems. The company predominantly provides an e-commerce platform for home furnishings and is seen as one of the leading retailers in doing so.
At the heart of the companies offering, is sophisticated technology. The development team enjoy working on a wide-range of different projects; front and backend. Happily, the team enjoys a great deal of autonomy and trust and as a result it’s a creative, harmonious environment and would suit those who enjoy learning new skills/technologies and applying them to real-world projects.

Skills & Requirements;

* Good knowledge of PHP (ideally in MVC frameworks)
* Strong object-oriented programming knowledge
* JavaScript/jQuery/ KnockoutJS
* HTML5, LESS & CSS knowledge
* Solid understanding of responsive design
* Knowledge of GIT for version control
* Experience of using MySQL
* Good time management and organisation skills
* Enjoys learning!

Beneficial;

* Experience in Magento – ideally Magento2, but training can be provided.


Snap-shot of Responsibilities;

* Work with Magento 2 platform; to develop new functionality for the e-commerce sites (thorough training in Magento 2 will be provided; this isn’t a must have skill to be considered)
* Implement backend PHP changes
* Implement front-end changes
* Developing modules using best practices
* Thoroughly test and validate code across various browsers and devices

Beneficial;

* Experience in Magento – ideally Magento2, but training can be provided.
