As a result of an excellent reputation and continued growth my client have a position open for a Host Test Engineer.

The Role:

A vacancy has arisen within the Test Team which will suit a highly motivated individual who can work as part of a small team but has the ability and enthusiasm to work on their own within the team structure.

This position will appeal to technically-minded people who enjoy applying logic to solving problems and collaborating with different teams.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

+ Would like to start their IT career and be able to progress in the company using their skills and initiative

+ Sees testing as a challenge and thrives on the challenges presented

+ Has a good analytical mind and is adept at interpreting test result data and then investigating further

+ Can communicate clearly with colleagues and be able to explain issues

+ Feels that they are technical, logical and can problem solve

+ Works in a timely manner and manages to meet deadlines

+ Is interested in the Smart Card world and see’s the payment arena as a challenge

Snap-shot of Responsibilities:

+ Host Testing: regression testing and enhanced TMAT resting; so as to ensure that the host configuration changes have not inadvertently affected anything.

+ Analysing changes in specifications and creating updates where necessary

+ Liaise with the Certification team. E.g., if there is a host configuration issue, the certification team raises a helpdesk ticket on behalf of the customer such that the Host Team can resolve and send a fix

+ Work on Jira tickets from the QA team: typically involving a bug the QA team has identified during testing.

+ Working with the Acquirer team: resolving tickets pertaining to notifications of a new or updated brand test plan; assigns what is needed and then implementing once changes are identified

+ Provision of some Helpdesk support: analysis of assigned tickets - reassigning to different teams and/or resolving the customer issue directly; such as if it is a host configuration issue.
